Moore and Steele joins the war effort to supply the U.S. Military with manufactured components.
1996
The company's name was changed to Applied Technology Manufacturing Corporation to reflect a broadening of the business into component manufacturing.
2019
ATMC expands into an additional building, providing an additional 6,500 square feet of manufacturing space.
Our History
Founded in 1927 as Moore & Steele Corporation, Applied Technology Manufacturing Corporation (ATMC) began by designing and producing essential railroad track appliances such as anchors, oilers, and lubricators.
With nearly a century of manufacturing expertise, ATMC has continually evolved to meet the demands of each new era—adapting technologies, expanding capabilities, and staying true to our commitment to quality and innovation.
Now
ATMC operates out of a 20,000-square-foot facility in Owego, NY, conveniently located just off NYS Route 17 (I-86). We are well-connected to all major trucking carriers and operate our own truck for local deliveries and part pickups.
Our operations are fully cloud-based, powered by Global Shop Solutions ERP software. This integrated system streamlines our accounting, manufacturing, calibration, and preventive maintenance processes—maximizing efficiency across both our equipment and workforce.
Our Engineering Department utilizes the latest versions of AutoCAD Inventor and GibbsCAM, enabling seamless electronic exchange of technical drawings and precision in every project.
Our Future
Building on our 6,500-square-foot expansion completed in 2019, ATMC is planning an additional 6,500-square-foot expansion to further grow our capabilities. This next phase of development reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and meeting the evolving needs of our customers.
